A BPM Fire Pump Control System provides a wireless means of remotely starting a group of fire pumps.
Key features are:
- Each numbered button activates one fire pump.
- Responses to out bound fire pump commands are visually acknowledged by the Master.
- Fire pump status from the pump's panel or a pressure switch is reported to and
displayed at, the Master.
- The BPM system has a poll feature, which proves each field site, is in
communication with the Master.
- The BPM field units use the pump controller's remote start input to activate
the pump.
- Multiple activation points can be used.
- The system is free standing; no PCs or DCS involved.
- The System is robust: if the activation point and the pump sites are intact
the pumps can be activated.
- Communications can be over the customer's 2-way radio channel, an adjacent channel, or
over a Spread Spectrum system.
- The Master can also provide a mixture of fire pump control and traffic light
preemption.
Each BPM Master Panel handles up to 8 Fire Pumps. Up to 4 panels can use a single radio
activation point.
